Lower Columbia Intro to Microsoft

In our assignment, Contribution to a Blog, I chose the class Introduction to Microsoft Word. In this particular class, a student would learn the basics of the very popular software named Microsoft Word and they will learn personal and business and business topics that would go over the basic and intermediate-level of how to format a document. I chose to look into this particular course because I was certified by my high school teacher this year for Microsoft Office certificate that shows I know how to use Word. I took the class two years ago and recently just now took the test because I got three credits for a computer science class if I could show I had the certification and paid 90 dollars. This is a very good course to take if you do not know how to use Microsoft Word, because many people may have you use Word, such as teachers and employers. So if you’re a Newby to word, check out this class.

Lower Columbia College offers a self paced course for those who want to brush up on their Keyboarding skills. I took the course BTEC 110: Keyboarding with speed and accuracy during the Fall Quarter and I was not disappointed! I liked the course, it was self paced, and every “level” you build up your speed with typing and accuracy. I am able to type over 56 words per minute which is a major improvement compared to my typing skills before;. This course teaches you not only to type faster and more accurately, but the course also teaches you how to use symbols and numbers associated with the keyboard, as well as a personalized skill building plan for it’s users. The real amazing thing is; is that you can continue to go back and re-challenge yourself and see how far you have learned! I recommend this course to anyone who struggles with the Keyboard and typing.
