The Keyboarding Speed and Accuracy course in LCC’s Business Technology Lab is an excellent introduction to vital skills you will need if you’ll find yourself working with computers regularly. The world is increasingly computer focused, and being behind on keyboarding speed or the accuracy with which you type is hardly an option anymore. This class will give you the tools you need to increase your average wpm, and accurately, too!
Keyboarding is one of the most important foundations you’ll need for complete computer/tech literacy. You must use the ability to accurately and quickly type to communicate with both the people in your circle, and the very computer itself. Why not get a jump start with this course next quarter?

Lower Columbia College individualizes their keyboarding program for the particular student, allowing one to learn at their own pace, building their skills in all the basics of keyboarding like the alphabet, number and symbol as they progress through the 3 credit course. Additionally, the Keyboarding Speed/Accuracy course provides instruction in 10-key numeric keypad – an asset to many companies and qualification for many career paths.
Most students who find this elective course useful will be in pre-college courses, and this class will give a clear insight into how LCC’s major courses are structured and scheduled online. But anyone at all who feels like their skills could use a jump start when it comes to the speed or accuracy of their keyboarding/typing, or even those who just want to learn 10-key, are certainly welcome to enroll as the class is offered year-round. Make sure you save your spot as soon after open enrollment as you can, however – this is a popular course with a full wait list!
