Business Technology (BTEC) Course Listings
The Introduction to Google Applications class provides undergraduate students with the knowledge to utilize the features of notable Google applications for use at home or their place of work. Some features taught in this course include communication over the web, collaboration, media, and tools to help locate something. Students learn three credits upon completing this class.
Two prominent applications provided by Google that are taught in this course are Sheets and Docs. The former lets users create worksheets to display data relating to any information they want to keep track of, while the latter can be used to write down anything from essays to stories of fictional worlds. Other Google applications include Gmail (a service for sending and receiving emails), Slides (which is used for the creation of slideshow presentations), and Earth (an explorable digital globe).
As a student at LCC, I have often used Google applications to help display information about my personal projects. Sheets is the application I most frequently ultilize, employing it to visualize television schedules and lists of monarchs. Docs are another Google tool that I like to use, as it allows me to write down ideas I have in my mind about personal worldbuilding projects.
